Established 12 years ago, X-Academy School of Performing Arts, Crewe, Cheshire has grown in size and strength and now has over 130 students attending 3 classes per week.

Encouraging as it does people of all ages (3yrs+ to adult) and all abilities (beginners and advanced), the school’s philosophy is one of inclusion. Anyone is welcome to come along and develop their interests whether in dance, drama, music or all three.

The emphasis is very much on working together in a safe and structured environment, with respect for one another.

X-Academy has excellent links with the local and wider communities, and is committed to taking the performing arts into schools and colleges.

The school usually puts on several performances throughout each year. For the youngest students, these might be just within the school itself, giving parents a chance to see and enjoy their child’s progress. Other local events, such as Crewe Dance Festival, showcase the school to the wider community.

More ambitious performances include Dance Around, held at Crewe’s Lyceum theatre. Students from X-Academy also take part in regional and national competitions and events such as the Janet Cram Awards and the Imperial Ballet Awards.

The school is dedicated in its pursuit of excellence and realizing the full potential of students of outstanding ability through its Scholars Programme.

Whether you’re a parent looking for a place for your child or an adult interested for yourself, we can guarantee a warm welcome and never a dull moment!

Jacqui Richards, Principal.
